A TRADITIONAL LACQUERED TRAY

£89.99

The image on this exquisite tray is taken from the oil painting hanging in the Master’s Study, probably dated circa 1843. This assumption is based upon the attached tithe map of 1843 which shows only the new classroom block and C house, i.e. the old coaching inn.

These high quality wooden lacquered trays, produced within the UK, are made for us by Lady Clare Ltd. They have hand-finished gilding to the rim, handles and frameline around the image. They also have a baize backing and measure 550 x 395mm (21¾” x 15½”). They are heat resistant to 100 degrees centigrade, but caution is advised against placing tea and coffee pots directly onto the tray surface due to the lacquer finish.
This is a gift of exceptional workmanship and distinction.
